Doug Keefer has been a woodworker for over 20 years. He started out building custom furniture and continues to blend custom woodworking into each finely crafted home he builds.  He built the first code approved straw bale home in Buncombe County in 1999. 

He enjoys building homes that are sustainable, appropriate, green and efficient.  A recent project received the best Energy Star rating in North Carolina.  Please see the WNC Green Building Council article.
